Nobody special

After I finished my first ever 10k race and was back to our condo unit I had such a fun phone message from one of my Spiritual Cheerleaders. She is such a hoot and she makes me laugh and smile probably more than any one I know. She causes me to love deeper, reach higher, and to remain faithful. We have laughed together, we have cried together, we have prayed together and we have traveled together. We are doing life, together.

Her message went something like this, "Yes, this is Lisa with Runner's World magazine and I would like to interview you for an article in our next issue." I was already on such a natural high from the race and my finish, then to hear this just put me over the edge!

I don't know about you, but for me I can be so driven and goal oriented and when God sends someone to stir me in a different fashion it can be so rewarding. Well, friends, He has certainly been stirring and by no means am I any one at all, that is special. I am a nobody, but a body that has seen so much improvement that I can't help but share my story.

Melanie Dorsey at "See My Mom Run!" interviewed me the end of June and posted on July 29th my replies. Click here to see that interview. This past week Matt Gardner at "5K Training Schedules" and "5k Runners Club" Facebook site asked me to share my story as well. Click here to read Matt's interview with me. These two individuals love Jesus, and are runners. I appreciate them so much and their encouragement for me to continue making strides. I live in a small community where there are no running clubs and for me my on-line group is where I go for encouragement as well as seeking answers for the questions that I have concerning being a runner.

I believe with all of my heart that God is opening doors for me to share the joys of my life IN HIM. Do I have struggles? Do I have heartache? Do I have setbacks? Absolutely, but I also have Jesus and His peace that surpasses all understanding.

**Please return to hear about another one of my Spiritual Cheerleaders in the days or weeks ahead. What a blessing these ladies are to me!!
