Soft Carob Chip Cookies
(mock chocolate chip)
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. local honey
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. carob chips
Cream together first 3 ingredients. Sift in next 3 ingredients. Add nuts and carob chips; mix well.
Roll in small balls, and do not flatten them. Place on a greased baking sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Yields 2 dozen.
