Good afternoon! Wow, where is this week going to? Here we are already, Wednesday LATE afternoon, and I feel like it should be Monday noon. This week is like crazy busy, crazy hot and it's really been very windy until today. Still hot, still busy but when I came home about 30 minutes ago there wasn't a breath of air. Yesterday was 30 plus miles per hour and we hit 111 here at our house, and I am not STRETCHING that temp one bit, that is way to warm. It's not even the middle of June.
After closing our business doors 4 years ago and me finally able to close the books for our business about 10 days ago, we are now officially selling that piece of property. This week has found me getting my training workouts in and then heading out to the office to sort, throw away, pack and move items after being in this particular office for the last 13 years. BUT....our business was started in 1946 and that means there is a lot of stuff! So we are in a STRETCHING process of what do we really want to keep and store, throw out, and/or to place in a garage sale our church is having for a college student headed to China on a missions trip.
The last tidbit that I can think of is on Saturday after my 10k, I had several text messages and one was from a friend asking me if I would consider doing the Big Pool Triathlon then end of June with her and do the biking portion. Are you serious? No, no, NO!! I would love to be on a team, but I'm a runner. ;-) Later in the evening I sent her a text and said, you know what, if you can talk Karen into the swimming portion, and you know that we are going into this event for total fun as I have a heavy bike and I am not a speedster, then yes, I'll do the biking portion. Well, Karen said the very same thing about her swimming abilities and to just go and have fun. Needless to say, it didn't take long for Stacey to fill out the paperwork and send in our registration. So.....this was definitely a STRETCHING moment for me and I know for Karen as well.
Is this a good thing? Absolutely, I want to live life, I want to be kind, I want to be supportive and I never ever want to think...what if???

I swam 400 meters yesterday! It wasn't fast, but I did it.
